Essendine Primary School has been celebrating the success of their new 2 year old provision which opened in September as part of Westminster City Council's offer of free early education places for children aged two to enhance their learning opportunities and support low income families.
The provision offers a fully refurbished building boasting a large indoor play area and adventurous yet safe outdoor space, which is accessible in all weathers. The setting currently has 24 places and has had an exceptional take-up.
Lead teacher Liz Clayfield said: "As as staff we have all worked very hard to create a stimulating and exciting environment which allows the children to grow and develop fully at this important time of their lives. Already we are seeing great changes amongst the children as we plan creative and challenging activities according to their interests and stages of development. We are now looking at expanding the number of places we offer in response to demand."
Parents are welcome to visit us during session times to see the provision in action.
