World Book Day

Thursday 1st March is World Book Day. Lots of different activities will be taking place that day to celebrate all things books. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character. One best dressed character will be chosen from each year group and they will get to go to Waterstones on a trip to get a free book of their choice!

Here are some ideas for costumes:

As part of World Book Day, Piers Torday, the award winning author, came into our school on Thursday to talk about his books and writing. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and many bought a signed book and got to meet him (and even had their photograph taken with him!)
